About the Tour
This hiking tour gives you the chance to disover
the untouched and gentle nature of the Calabrian mountains
in a particularly special way. You will be moved by
the wonderfully perfumed Mediterranean vegetation, impressive
mountainous scenery, green nature reserves, archaeological
treasures and crystal clear seas. In the hiking areas
the visitor is shown places where rich, living nature
blends with traces of antique civilisations.
On this exciting 5-day walking tour you will get to know your holiday region in a very special way. You will reach the special highlights by public transport and from there you will explore the area on foot. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea, the Lipari Islands and the Straits of Messina. A German speaking hiking-guide will tell you everything you need to know about the region.
The walks take the whole day and of that the actual walking time is about 4 hours. The maximum change in height is 600 metres. You need walking equipment (good shoes, rucksack, flask and rain protection) as well as a normal state of good health.
