ITINERARY  
                                                                             

Day 1: Arrival Arrival at Lamezia Terme airport.Transfer to your booked accomodation. Day 2: The old Mill Our walk from today will bring us by beautiful footpaths to a still working mill. We will continue our walk over fields with splendid views over the sea, to an old Sarayenenturm, the ,,Torre Marrana'', For lunch we will taste many different delicacy's. In the afternoon we will discover Capo Vaticano, our walk will bring us to the famous viewpoints from Capo Vaticano and the lighthouse. We will finish our walk on the romantic beach ,,Grotticelle'', where we have time for a refreshing dive or just relaxing on the beach.

Day 3: Specialities on Monte Poro

We scale the local mountain of Capo Vaticano, Monte Poro. A large proportion of the local cheese specialities are produced here (goat's cheese, ricotta,....). Of course we also have the pleasure of testing these delicious products for lunch! During the climb up we will enjoy the breathtaking view of Capo Vaticano. On the way back we are passing the town Joppolo, from there we will take the train back to Ricadi.

Day 4: Reggio Calabria - Art & Culture

Today we are going by train further to the south, we are going to Reggio Calabria. We will visit the archaeological museum with the famous bronze statues of Riaci, the cathedral and of course there is enought time for shopping! While we are enjoying an aperitivo on the beach promenade, we will have a beautiful view over Messina. The beach promenade is with his glorius rubber trees, magnolias and tall palm trees described as the prettiest kilometre of Calabria.

Day 5: The lake of Zungri

Today we will have an active day after our relaxing day in Reggio Calabria. We will walk over beautiful natural footpaths to Zungri. Around lunchtime we will arrive to the highlight of today: the old left caves with fresco's in byzantine style. After visiting the caves we will walk to a mountain lake where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we are walking back over the Papaglionti.

Day 6: Picknick in Palmi

The coastal town of Palmi is the starting point of the varied tour on Monte S. Elia whose slopes drop down steeply into the sea. A short stop in the ethnographic museum will give us a look in the traditional Calabrian lifestyle. We will continu our walk over the Monte S. Elia, there is a wonderful view of the Costa Viola, the Aeolian Islands and the Strait of Messina. We also have the chance to have a picnic in a cork tree forest.

Day 7: Leisure Time

Of course you have the possibility of planning one day according to your wishes.

Day 8: Departure
After the last Italian breakfast our guides accompany you to the airport where it is "arrivederci bella Italia".
